St Bartholomew Church

The relationship between Church and School in Rogate has been enriched with regular worship and the support from the local community. Rogate School was founded on the foundation stones of the National Society (a Church of England educational establishment) and continues to be part of the Diocese of Chichester. Father Edward Doyle comes regularly for worship in the school and the whole School also visits St Bartholomew’s Church to explore further the riches of its worship and to be enriched in the Christian faith.

The foundation of the school is embedded in the Christian ethos and of the Church of England and everyone is encouraged to play their full part in the life of the school whatever their faith, creed or culture. We would like to build on the good work that has been accomplished over many years and continue to find new ways to explore our faith and witness to all in our School and in the wider community that we serve.

The school attends Harvest, Remembrance Day, Christingle, Easter and end of term leavers services at St Bartholomew Church and also Chichester Diocesan Leavers Services at Chichester Cathedral.  Rogate C.E. Primary School prides itself in its Christian ethos and our strong connection with the church.
